August 2011: Jamie Griffin wins the junior bronze medal and takes eighth place overall in the 2011 European Championships in Poland.


February 2011: The British team for the 2011 European Championships has been confirmed as Martin Coe, Andrew Shields, Mike Whillance and Jamie Griffin (junior).


August 2010: Martin Coe takes fourth place and Jamie Griffin takes junior silver medal at the 2010 World Championships in Gyula, Hungary

5 March 2008: The British team for the 2008 World Championships has been confirmed as Graham Ives, Mervyn Jones and Mike Whillance


13 July 2007: Igor Dementiev from Moldova takes the gold medal at the 2007 European Championships with previous champion Mike Whillance taking third place.


5 February 2007: The British team for the European Championships 2007 has been confirmed as Graham Ives, Martin Johnson and Martin Coe with Sam Hobbins as junior. Mike Whillance will attend as defending champion.


5 March 2006: The British team for the World Championships 2006 has been confirmed as Mervyn Jones, Mike Whillance, Dave Riley and Sam Hobbins (junior).


22 July 2005: Great Britain takes two out of three podium positions at the European Championships in Hungary, with Mike Whillance being crowned European Champion for the second time. Last time he won was also in Hungary. Great Britain also take the team gold medal.
